Gio started playing guitar at eight and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. After moving to Los Angeles, his work with a jazz-funk trio led him to meet Wayne Henderson, the legendary trombonist of the Jazz Crusaders, eventually joining the band as an official member. Since then, Gio has toured worldwide, performing at major international jazz festivals—including North Sea, Montreux, and more—in Europe, the US, Japan, and China. His career seamlessly blends classic jazz traditions with innovative approaches, driven by passion, skill, and a relentless pursuit of musical evolution.
