Originally from Portland, Oregon, USA, he is a professional narrator, voice actor, and actor. Before relocating to Japan, he worked as an exhibition designer for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., while also building an extensive narration career in the United States through audiobook narration and editing projects for visually impaired audiences.

Since moving to Tokyo, he has established himself as one of Japan’s leading English-language narrators and voice artists. He is a regular voice on NHK’s English-language educational radio programs, including Basic English 1, Radio Business English, and Radio English Conversation, and has also appeared as a reporter on NHK WORLD.

He voiced numerous characters in NHK Educational’s “Little Charo 2” and has been a long-time regular narrator for the Speed Learning series and ALC’s English educational publications, earning a strong reputation in the education field.

He is also highly regarded for his character voice work, starring as RD in the U.S. version of Cartoon Network’s animated series Zoids Fuzors, as well as lending his voice to numerous PlayStation and Nintendo DS titles.

With extensive experience in television and radio commercials, corporate videos, documentaries, and educational content, he delivers everything from warm, natural, and authoritative narration to a wide range of expressive character voices.
