From an early age, Nikkos mastered a variety of instruments—including piano, flute, recorder, accordion, and saxophone—and later became active as a classical flutist in chamber music and symphony orchestras. He first visited Japan for a German-sponsored concert and, following his second trip, began performing there in earnest, winning the top prize at the Rome Flower Music Festival.Nikkos’s album “Angels Dreaming” was featured as background music on NHK and educational TV, drawing attention from New Age radio in the United States. Subsequent releases, “Angels Flying” and “Angels Singing,” have been launched in Japan, the U.S., Europe, China, Taiwan, and Singapore, earning international acclaim and contributing to charity compilations for SARS and the Sumatra earthquake.He has also been involved in numerous TV, film, and radio productions, including the Fuji TV commercial “Promenade,” the “Midori” theme for the movie Fever Angel, and the Mitsubishi Motors “Fly” commercial in Taiwan. His DVD “Celebration of the Sea” won the Visionary Award at the International New Age Trade Show, and his performance at the Italian Pavilion during Expo 2005 in Aichi was widely praised.Additionally, Nikkos made his acting debut as a bassoonist in Nodame Cantabile, composed music for TV Tokyo’s short animation “Carinconi,” and now serves as an MC for MSC Cruise Line, performing in Japanese, English, and Italian. He is a versatile composer, performer, actor, and MC.
