A trumpet major, José has performed on various stages in Cuba and around the world with leading jazz bands such as Benny Moret, Septete Habanero, Perito El Afro-Can, and Tropicana de la Habana. In 2010, he showcased his sound on the global stage at the Third World Festival of Black Arts in Dakar, Senegal. Since 2022, based in Japan, José has been a dynamic presence at prominent venues including B FLAT, KEYSTONE CLUB, TABLEAUX LOUNGE, HAVANA1950, R3 CLUB LOUNGE, and the YOKOHAMA COUNTRY & ATHLETIC CLUB (YC&AC). His performances are renowned for their powerful, soulful sound that blends Cuban rhythms with global jazz traditions. Constantly innovating and driven by passion, José continues to inspire audiences both in Japan and internationally.
