At the age of 15, Daniel performed at Batuca—the largest drum festival in South America—and quickly reached a level comparable to renowned drummers like Dave Weckl and Jojo Mayer. At 16, he joined the Brazilian rock fusion band OTERÇO, and by 19, he had composed the music for their album. In 2009, he was selected as the drummer for Cirque du Soleil’s “Ovo,” leading the band on a successful world tour. After that, he moved to Japan and began performing at jazz festivals and clubs. With his exceptional performance skills and innovative sound design, he is continually exploring new musical possibilities.
