NHK’s educational program Spanish for Travel

Saxophonist, guitarist, singer, and songwriter with more than 20 years of professional experience in Japan. Specializing in Latin music, his versatile repertoire also spans jazz, bossa nova, and pop, performing at hotels, restaurants, live venues, and corporate events throughout the country.

Since arriving in Japan in 2001, he has founded his own Latin band, Grupo Cache, while also performing as a vocalist with Orquesta Del Sol. He has appeared on numerous stages, including Tokyo DisneySea and Huis Ten Bosch, captivating audiences with authentic Cuban rhythms and his warm, expressive vocals.

In addition to his live performances, he has worked extensively as a lyricist, composer, arranger, and vocalist for commercial music productions. His credits include projects for leading Japanese brands such as Kao, Shiseido, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Morinaga, Honda, Mandom, Kanebo, Suntory, Akagi Nyugyo, and Nintendo, contributing vocals, Spanish lyrics, and translations for commercials and video game soundtracks.

His career also extends to film and television, including musical contributions to Hitoshi Matsumoto’s film Symbol and appearances on NHK’s educational program Spanish for Travel.

Today, he performs in a variety of formats—from solo and duo performances to trios and full bands—blending saxophone, guitar, and vocals to deliver sophisticated Latin music for hotel lounges, gala dinners, luxury brand events, festivals, and private functions.
